Chapter 1105 276: How to Kill an Old God?

"Gum, this armor seems to be called the Extreme Knight Order Power Armor. Hmm, Ave has been dedicating herself to creating a new Imperial Knight Order. She facilitated collaboration between the Royal Family and the Sanctuary. Despite incomplete technological data, the technology of the Holy City has still greatly inspired the Empire's Artisan Association."Ethan sat at an outdoor dining table in front of a mansion, gazing at the "Magic Realm" battlefield and commented.

The Other Shore had won the battle at the Neseriel Sanctuary, leading the remnants of the Knight Order back to the Empire. Facing the sudden demon invasion, the priests in the Far West, under the guidance of the new Goddess of Life, Mary, also formed an alliance with the Empire.

In the far Western Continent, Yue performed a prayer and miraculously received a response from the God of Steam. The new chosen one had stepped onto the battlefield.

"Thanks to you, the people there have never been so united."

How did that saying go?

A wicked mind does a good deed.

Sincaro was also observing the changes on the battlefield, but what disturbed Him more than the assembling army was Ethan and Lindong. It was dinner time, and they were sitting face to face, enjoying what looked like a delicious meal, paying no heed to their surroundings.

In theory, Old Gods do not need to eat; the scent of food shouldn't affect His judgment.

But Sincaro was irritated, and His shifting emotions made all the high-ranking demons who followed Him into this world shiver.

Especially Lindong, who hummed a tune while leisurely licking a strawberry sundae, a carefree demeanor that was particularly grating.

Sincaro could not ascertain the conversation between Lindong and Messiah, but judging by the outcome, she returned in time for dinner, and the Lord of the Holy City lost contact with Him.

Had Messiah changed His mind, or had He already been eliminated?

Given that the Lord of the Holy City was the first-ranked creation, it couldn't be ruled out that He might have left a way to annihilate Him when creating the Lord of the Holy City.

"Go, get me something to eat."

Sincaro issued a command to a trembling, red-eyed demon. The powers of Old Gods differ, and He couldn't conjure food from thin air like Ethan could.

The high-ranking demon receiving the order saw black for a moment. It wanted to complain about where it would find food in this accursed place, especially as they were also terrified by the omnipresent negative emotions in this space when, usually, demons thrive on human negative emotions, and this place should have been a delightful world full of deliciousness for them.

But the truth was…

These negative emotions had no form, yet seemed to possess their own will.

Because of this, they had to remain by the Master of Demons' side, as once lost in this dark expanse, they could likely be assimilated or devoured.

The Demon King's order was tantamount to sending it to death, and perhaps that was indeed the real intention of the Demon King. Everyone could see how Ethan's reaction agitated Him because the Demon King was usually the one truly in control, having fooled everyone, including His peers.

The other Old Gods, unaware, had become the subject of Sincaro's research. His research had borne fruit over the past millennia, while the other Old Gods had stagnated. Once fused with the Lord of the Holy City, the Demon King might indeed advance and surpass all Old Gods.

At that time, all that existed in this world would be reduced to a single voice.

The named red-eyed one looked ashen, but when it finally resigned itself to die for the Demon King, its gaze briefly met Ethan's.

"Go ahead, you can use the kitchen inside, there should be ingredients in the fridge."

"Th-Thank you!"

The red-eyed one clung to the straw of salvation, repeatedly thanking, and flapped its wings into Ethan's grand estate.

Having said that, Ethan shrugged at Sincaro, "Why trouble your subordinates? They are loyal to you."

Sincaro remained silent.

He was still quickly contemplating—the inescapable node space and the fleet carrying the entire Holy City Navy and interstellar pirates. He could sense fear pervading the entire sky, the darkness and the unknown nearly driving the ship's inhabitants mad, yet Sincaro still couldn't comprehend Ethan's motivation.

Sincaro considered himself familiar with Ethan, this consciousness born from node space, though eccentric, seldom performed meaningless acts. This was an assessment from his most intimate friend beside him. Ave-Margaret wrote in the "Imperial Truth" that those behaviors seemed bizarre only because they couldn't understand Ethan's intentions for the time being.

Sincaro did not think that encompassing the entire rebel army into node space was merely to intimidate Him or declare how dark the future of Holy City civilization would be without the aid of navigational coordinates, for that was not Ethan's way.

So, how would he handle these panic-stricken humans?

Execute them one by one?

From a power standpoint, Ethan could absolutely accomplish that with ease.

At this thought, Sincaro gradually formed an idea.

"Such a number of deaths would create countless scattered souls, purest energy bodies. If these energy bodies were weaponized and detonated, it would create an unprecedented soul storm, a storm powerful enough to distort space, severely injure or even kill an Old God…"
